Cook from Frozen
These instructions are designed for use when cooking straight from frozen.
Into the Oven
Put your frozen pasty or sausage roll onto a lined baking tray and place it on middle shelf of oven.
Cook for following times (please remember that all ovens cook diferently)
For a fan-forced oven Proper Large Cornish - 25mins at 180°C then 20mins at 160°C Proper Jumbo Cornish - 25mins at 180°C then 25mins at 160°C Other Pasties - 25mins at 190°C then 10-15mins at 170°C
Sausage Rolls - 20mins at 190°C then 10mins at 170°C
Pigs-in-Blanket - 35-40mins at 180°C
Your pasty should be a golden colour and juice emerging from the hole on top. As per tradition, the Cornish pasty is rolled with raw ingredients, so ensure the veggies are not too firm and the meat is cooked. Should you notice the crust browning too quickly, simply cover it with baking paper and continue baking at a slightly lower temperature until done.
Rest
Take your pasty out of the oven and let it cool for 10-15 minutes before digging in. The filling will be piping hot, so exercise a little patience for that perfect bite! For the Jumbo Cornish, we suggest giving it 30 minutes to cool down before savouring it fully.
